Marion Davies (1897-1961) Although she made many movies from 1917 to 1937, Marion is best remembered as William Randolph Hearst's mistress. In return he made her a major screen personality and a wealthy woman. Marion had excellent musical skills and a knack for comic routines, but, although highly touted by Hearst's press, was only average as a dramatic actress. |
