This
letter is typed on Sandburg's 8.5" x 11" stationary
with his name and "Harbert, Michigan" embossed at the
top.
Written
a year after publication, Sandburg provides a very important and
interesting commentary on his approach and concerns while writing
the 'war Lincoln', his most successful and acclaimed work.
The usual folds and an 'X' inked at the top, otherwise in fine condition
and with a strong dark signature.
