Marion Davies

(1897-1961)

Marion was one of the highest paid actresses of her day.  Her film career spanning from 1917 to 1937 was greatly enhanced via the media power of William Randolph Hearst.

It was common knowledge that Marion was Hearst's mistress, a relationship that continued to his death. They probably would have married but his wife refused to divorce him.

This 8" x 10" vintage matte sepia is signed in full, with 'Sincerely'. 

Good inscription contrast.
