Hugh Herbert (1887-1952) Hugh had many noteworthy film credits during the 1930's and 1940's. Although his film career continued until his sudden death in 1952, the movies he appeared in toward the end of his life were not his best performances. Hugh played some serious roles, but is best remembered as a comic actor. His performance
as an arm wrestling prime minister in "Million Dollar
Legs" was especially entertaining. |

This 8" x 10" glossy is in excellent condition. Hugh's inscription "To Strels(?) / Woo Woo / Hugh Herbert" is on a lattice-work backdrop that reduces the contrast somewhat but is still very readable. "Woo Woo" is one of Hugh's trademark expressions. Price: $ 75
